Have you ever thought 'I'm sure I could do better than that? I know I have. I've had dozens of ideas on how to improve existing sex toys as well as some ideas of radical new products.

How To Enter

Just pop along to Love Honey click on the 'Design a Sex Toy Competition' banner and enter as directed. The competition closes at the end of December 2009 so you've got a bit of time but the quicker you enter, the more original your idea will be.

Handy Tips

First and foremost, read the rules! make sure you understand what they are after before you get your colouring pencils out!
Watch the handy video on the site for extra tips
Be realistic - a vibrator with enough power to launch an aircraft is probably not that realistic!
Be creative - stretch your imagination and you'll find that you may come up with even better ideas as a result
Think about you - what do you like? What don't you like? Design a toy to suit you (i.e. your perfect sex toy) then tweak it to appeal to a wide market
Make it universal - the more people that are likely to want it, the more likely it is you'll be picked
Make sure it's an original idea. Naturally, check out Love Honey's website to see if something similar exists but also check out the other sex toy shops we list. If the idea isn't original, you won't win.

Bonus Hints

As much as I'd love to flex my creative muscles, I can't enter for various reasons. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean I can't share my ideas! Here's a couple of suggestions on areas I'd like to see more sex toys for:

Men - besides the Fleshlight-type masturbators and cock rings, there's not much else available. Surely there's more possibilities?
Women - vibrators with novel features (wave patterns, thrusting patterns, etc.) prove popular so something along these lines would be interesting
Both - hands free masturbation surely is the way forward but nothing really stands out as clever, interesting or exciting.

Not sure these help but they could be starting points!
