I've got a secret to share. For the last few weeks, I've been testing out the raved new sex toy, the JeJoue SaSi, an "oral sex" toy!
It's received a whole host of positive feedback and I wrote about the launch a while back. That's all good and well but if I haven't tried it, it's not worth buying
. Naturally, the kind people at JeJoue sent over a SaSi to try out. This is the tale of how I got on.

The JeJoue SaSi has received tremendous coverage in the world's media. It's recently won Cosmopolitan magazine's Best Sex Toy of 2009 award. To win something like that, the SaSi really has to stand out from other sex toys.
With this in mind, I built up my expectations. For a major publication to be hailing the SaSi as the best toy of the year it means it consistently impressed everyone involved in making that decision. The best thing I'd heard about the SaSi was that if the TV programme Sex and the City was still running, Samantha would own one. Watchers of the hit series know that it must be good to get Samantha's accreditation.
With all that in mind, I unboxed the SaSi.

The packaging for the SaSi is incredibly gorgeous. There’s not a hint cheap or tacky plastic. A seductive black thick card box envelopes the SaSi vibrator. The packaging is incredibly fancy and has obviously been designed with gift giving in mind. If you received this as a gift, you’d be excited just by the packaging!
The top of the box is printed with the SaSi logo and name, whilst the front of the box is printed with “SaSi By Je Joue”.
Your remove the paper band and the thick board box splits into two pieces. In the top half, you will find the SaSi sitting on a rubber stand. The second half contains a manual, the charger with multiple adapters, and a carry case.

The SaSi comes with several plug adapters for use in the UK, Europe, the USA and Australia. Each adapter interchanges on the actual charger unit which means that you only need to take one plug with you when you take the SaSi on your travels. Swap the adapter over before you depart and you don’t have to fiddle away with bulky travel adapters. Use your SaSi around the world!

The SaSi doesn’t disappoint in terms of looks. It’s very much suited to the suave and sophisticated packaging it arrives in. It’s a grown up sex toy that looks like a grown up sex toy.
I’ve got the plum (purple) model to test but SaSi is available in black and pink. My personal favourite has to be the purple as it feels more elegant and sophisticated than the other two colours.
The toy has a battery built-in so you recharge the entire unit rather than hunting down pesky batteries each time you want to use it. The battery charging socket is discreetly hidden below the “SaSi” print on the top of the toy, underneath an oval cover.
The control panel can also be found on the top of the toy. A central on/off button is surrounded by four other buttons – two to change the program setting or movement mode and two to control the intensities.
The base of the SaSi is where the real magic can be found:

A spherical nub moves around simulating oral sex. It’s designed to feel like a swirling tongue passing seductively and irresistibly over your clitoris. I’m not sure what the official term for it is but I call it the tongue, for obvious reasons.
It’s a toy designed for external use on the clitoris. Whilst it vibrates, it’s not an internal toy. That said, you only need one hand to use this toy so there’s nothing stopping you getting a really nice glass dildo and using that at the same time.
The SaSi also has a built-in vibrator so whilst the tongue does it’s magic, you can also benefit from a multi-speed vibration alongside.
The tongue can move according to two modes: pre-programmed and custom. In the pre-programmed mode, SaSi follows preset movements
In the pre-programmed mode, the tongue can move in one of five preset routines. These are the five best tongue movements as voted for by the women JeJoue asked to help them with the development of the SaSi. The speeds of these movements can be adjusted as required.
This is the party piece of the device. SaSi will learn what you like and what you don’t. You can train it to perform specific tongue movements that get’s you in the right spot each and every time. Just as you tell your partner what you do and don’t like, you can train SaSi to achieve the same results.
If you travel a lot, JeJoue have catered for your every need. I’ve already mentioned the interchangeable plug adapters which save precious baggage space but there’s a feature built into the SaSi specifically for travel – the panel lock. You can lock the buttons on the SaSi so it doesn’t accidentally get switched on during your travels. The last thing you want is airport security checking your luggage because there’s a suspicious movement or vibrating hum emanating from your suitcase.
Furthermore, the SaSi comes with a soft carry case so you can leave the designer box at home without having to leave the designer sex toy there too.
If it’s personalisation you are after, you can purchase additional silicone sleeves or plastic panels in various colours to customise the look of your SaSi. Perhaps you feel like a naughty deviant minx today and black best expresses your mood but perhaps tomorrow you’ll feel like a girly princess and pink best reflects your mood. Interchangeable colours mean that you can match the SaSi’s look to your mood.
As the silicone sleeve is removable, you can take it off to wash it in warm soapy water. Otherwise, when it comes to cleaning the SaSi, just wipe it with a damp cloth. Whatever you do, remember not to run it under the tap as you’ll fry all the gadgetry inside.

To be perfectly honest, the SaSi didn’t rock my world the first time I used it. From all the press and publicity I had read, I expected it to really be something special.
The problem is that out of the box, using pre-programmed modes, the SaSi will pleasure but it will probably not be all that mind-blowing. The reason being is that the pre-programmed mode is a sort of one-size-fits-all setting. Whilst it will probably titillate, it may not result in an orgasm.
The first time I used the SaSi I got frustrated after around half an hour of fun but no orgasm, even with the vibration mode on.
I needed to use a small amount of lubricant on my clitoris to allow the SaSi to glide across it effortlessly. Remember to use a water based lube with it as a Silicone based lube will damage it
That all changed however when I spent a few nights programming SaSi. You see, to get the best out of SaSi, you really need to train it. Its main selling point is that it learns what you like and what you don’t, so by not training it, you aren’t going to get the best out of it.
The length of time require to train the SaSi really depends upon you and how frequently you use it. Within a couple of uses, the SaSi was really hitting the spot for me. By the end of the week, I’ve perfected it and it is now guaranteed to make me come each and every time I use it.
There are a few things I really love about the SaSi:
The SaSi is very quiet when you use it. It’s not silent but it’s not as loud as a normal rabbit vibrator for instance. The battery life is good too. It takes under 2 hours to charge fully and that typically offers 1.25 hours of use. It can hold its charge for around 2 weeks so if you charge it one day, you don’t have to use it there and then (although I bet you would want to!).
Women! It’s probably a daft thing to point out but this is definitely a toy exclusively for women.
It’s also probably best suited to women who are experienced with using sex toys. That’s not to say it’s unsuitable for women who are just getting into sex toys. I just think it’s better received if you have something else to compare it with.
Thirdly, the designer price tag for this designer sex toy means it’s not your run-of-the-mill sex toy. It’s completely different to anything else out there in sex toy land – it’s unique. It’s also full of technology and has taken a long time in development to craft. Ergo, the price reflects the toy’s history perfectly but may be too expensive for budget sex toy seekers.
Cosmo magazine have voted it the best sex toy of 2009. I concur. This is the most amazing oral sex toy for women I have ever seen. Nothing comes close to this.
The price tag naturally puts some people off but for that, you are getting a sophisticated sex toy full of gadgetry that works to deliver new sexual sensations other toys just can’t offer.
You could buy this as a well earned treat for yourself or as a gift for your partner. It would be well received either way. Regardless of your reason for purchasing it, the JeJoue SaSi is definitely worth buying, without a shadow of a doubt.
