Not so long ago the Ki-Wi Light-Up Silicone Luxury Vibrator caused quite a stir, being as it is a vibrator with a built in light-up function to make playing in the dark easier and more fun. LoveHoney have sent me over one to test out and see whether it adds more spice to kinky fun in the dark.

The Ki-Wi vibrator comes in a very seductive magnetic-close box. The black outer thick board is lined inside in a baby pink colour. It magnetically attaches to the pink board box which houses the Ki-Wi Silicone vibrator.
A firm plastic cover keeps the vibrator in place which rests on a pink satin-type material bed. A small folded set of instructions sit underneath the vibrator.

The Ki-Wi Silicone Vibrator is definitely very stylish. A hard white plastic case houses two AAA batteries (not supplied). On it are two simple buttons in black, with a black surround.
The tip of the vibrator is in opaque white silicone. The very tip is flexible whilst the portion nearest the plastic casing is firm. The tip is slightly angled downwards as a measure to be more ergonomic.
The batteries can be changed by twisting the plastic casing. It takes a small twist before it pops off.
First off, I absolutely love the packaging. This is a budget sex toy but right from the start I feel like it is worth so much more. A magnetic clip box makes it perfect for giving as a gift.
The vibrator has a unique and distinctive shape. Some people say it looks sperm or tadpole shaped, others think it looks fish-like. It has been designed in Japan which is renowned for the best sex toys available. It has then been manufactured in China equating to an expensive looking designer sex toy at a fraction of what it ought to cost.
The Ki-Wi vibe has a non-threatening look to it and is therefore great for using either alone or with a partner.
The vibrator is quite heavy when the batteries are inserted, weighing over 150g. It doesn't change the way you would use it but may put some people off. I found the best way to use it was t hold the rounded plastic part trying not to hold the silicone. If you hold the silicone you can dampen some of the vibrations.
Using the vibrator is very easy. Simply press either of the two buttons to turn it on and press and hold the bottom button to turn it off. Both buttons cycle through the vibration patterns in both directions. It doesn't matter which you use but the top button generally leads to stronger vibrations whilst the lower button does the opposite.
The vibrator is very quiet even at top speed which is reassuring. It doesn't fail on delivering good strong vibrations. I was concerned that the 2cm of flexible tip wasn't going to be enough to pleasure me as I like but boy was I wrong! It has the same sort of flexibility as a rabbit ear in a traditional rabbit vibrator.

The party trick of the Ki-Wi vibrator is that the tip lights up in sync with the vibrations. The fuchsia pink light glows and dances in time with the vibrations. The strong the vibration, the more intense the light.
The novel light up feature is an improvement on glow-in-the-dark sex toys and is great for night time play perhaps under the covers or simply in a darkened room. It can be used alongside oral sex so he can lick your lips whilst the Ki-Wi tickles your clitoris, and vice versa.
The light doesn't really add anything to your pleasure but it is helpful in the dark as it provides a little bit of guidance.

I really loved this vibrator. The slower vibration patterns are great for getting me in the mood and I found that these were great on erogenous zones around my body. I loved the more intense vibrations and patterns directly on my clitoris and it managed to live up to my expectations.
We tested this in the dark and when combined with the talented tongue of your partner, this does result in mind blowing orgasms. Even without the tongue it performs very well. I climaxed each time I used this and often quite quickly too.
