I was going to buy a set of Spank Ties but whilst browsing LoveHoney, I found the Kwiktwist Giant Twist Ties twin pack. They appear to do the same job but has the advantage of costing £4 less per twin pack. I bought a set and here's how we got on with them.

The interior components consist of a heavy gauge steel alloy wire covered with two (2) millimetres of plastic shielding. The exterior foam is soft and easy to wrap or tie around various objects. KwikTwist will float in water and will withstand UV sunlight.
A great way to experience bondage fun for the first time - and if it doesn't work out, you'll find a use for them in the garage!
The packaging is suprisingly industrial. The original purpose of these ties is to hold things together in the shed or garage. Whilst it seems daft to use these within the context of the bedroom, this is a very good use of them - the reason being thta if they can hold up to 100 pounds in weight in an industrial context, they'll be very good and restraining in the bedroom.
The lengths can be attached together so you can create one giant length of "rope" (what else do you call it?!). The packaging also lists these features as benefits:
The Kwiktwist's come in red and ultimately are a length of bendable wire coated in padded foam. They feel soft and whilst that's great for your ladder or shed, in the context of the bedroom it means they are comfy to use when tied up naked

These are significantly better than the silk rope we've been using. They hold better and are easier to put on and take off.
These are very comfortable and can hold perfectly even when there is a fair amount of resistance. They don't dig in whereas rope has a tendancy to do so.
They are just long enough to wrap around a pair of chunky thighs though you may find a couple of Kwiktwists conjoined to form one long one would be more adequate. For this reason, it may perhaps be worth ordering 2 packs (of 2) to be able to form 2 very long lengths or 1 long length with 2 shorter ones. I suppose it really comes down to what you want to do with these. Feasible options include:
With more than one set, hogtying or tying to bedposts is a bit more feasible. Ultimately the limit is more or less your imagination.
People who enjoy using rope as restraints. Kwiktwist's are quicker, gentler and more comfortable as a rope alternative.

Without a shadow of a doubt if mild bondage is your thing. We use bondage more as method to increase excitement or to prolong sexual activities. There are couples and individuals that enjoy a more heavy handed approach to bondage and hence this would not be of much use to such folk. If, howver, you currently use silk ropes or otrher budget restraints, give these a whirl.
