The Packaging

The colourful yet simply designed box feels heavy and is made from a sturdy cardboard. The product itself is beautifully presented underneath a strip of clear plastic down the centre of the box.

The glass dildo is encapsulated in polystyrene (which suggests a higher quality than plastic wrapped dildos) whilst a free velvet feel carry case is tucked up to the rear of the polystyrene.

The Product Itself

If we were giving away awards for the most beautiful looking sex toy, we'd certainly be looking at the LoveHoney Orgasmic Glass Dildoas a serious contender. A helix pattern similar to those found in marbles decorates the shaft of the dildo, with bulbous heads at either end of it.

The Test

Being a glass dildo virgin, I was curious when I first set eyes on this magnificent looking beast. I expected it to feel nice as it broadly resembles a penis in shape (I like those!). It looks like a grown up toy - not a smutty veined dildo or a cheap penis imitation.

The first difference I noticed between this and a 'normal' dildo is the temperature. I didn't warm it up and in November, it turns out that glass gets quite cold when left lying around

It was nice as I'd just come out the shower and so was steaming hot.

The second difference is that the glass is a firm yet smooth texture. It glided in and out very smoothly and although it did need a bit of lube, it needed much less than normal toys. A side note here would be that glass is compatible with all lubricants so that's good news

Being a dildo, there's nothing else to report on in terms of feel. It's a solid phallis looking dildo. It feels very nice, especially being pushed and pulled (mimicing sexual intercourse) angled to rub against my G-spot. I've yet to squirt but I felt that if I could manage it, I really would have been able to with this. Perhaps if I combined it with the Bang Bang Bunny, I could soak the bedsheets.

Summary

Who Is It For?

If you like dildos, this offers a unique dimension. Glass feels very different to silicone dildos as it's harder, smoother and temperature sensitive.

If you've tried a glass dildo, you may prefer something with more texture such as a bulbed dildo (it says it's for anal penetration but there's nothing stopping you for using it in your vagina instead) or a ribbed dildo.

Is It Worth Buying?

For me, this was my first glass dildo experience. I'm extremely impressed with the quality of the dildo, especially for such a low price from Love Honey. It's obviously aimed towards dildo beginners or glass sex toy virgins but the packaging doesn't claim that at all.

It's certainly increased my desire for all things glass. It felt significantly different to a normal dildo. The temperature sensitivity is also transmitted right through the length of the dildo rather than having temperature "hot spots" - something I really enjoyed.

For me, I'd certainly buy one if I was still a glass dildo virgin. As it happens, I'm now on the prowl for more advanced glass dildos!
