I've not really explored the area of vibrating eggs before. When I last looked at them, most were wired which isn't all that much fun. Wired eggs aren't all that discreet after all.
Eggs are versatile toys and can act as a vibrating bullet just by using it externally as well as a vibrating egg internally. Twice the fun for the price of just one toy.
Love Honey sent over their LoveHoney Remote Control Dream Egg 2.0 which is a wireless vibrating egg. Grabbing my willing volunteer, I headed to the bedroom to test it out.

As you would expect from LoveHoney branded products, the packaging is plain, simple and non-offensive. There's not even any poor egg jokes about how the product is "eggcellent". Their loss I suppose!
The egg arrives in a push-close plastic casing with some product features listed on the front and some usage instructions on the back.
Three batteries are supplied although there are two different types. One is an A23 12V battery whilst the other two are N LR1 1.5V. These batteries are roughly half the size of the standard AA or AAA batteries most toys tend to use, the advantage here being that they save space resulting in a more compact toy. After all, toys with battery compartments the size of bricks are just ghastly!
The product is well designed. The egg is, well, egg shaped and comes in pink. It's coated in soft touch skin sfae rubber which feels really nice and enticing. A cord is attached to the bottom which has a dual purpose. Firstly, I think it's the antennae which makes the unit wireless. Secondly, it makes it very easy to pull the egg out from your vagina without too much fuss.
The egg unscrews in half revealing the battery compartment. When the batteries are put into the egg, it remains switched on so remember to take the batteries out after use. The plus side of this is that there aren't any fidly buttons on the egg to turn it on and off. The downside can be flat batteries if you're a tad forgetful.
As you would expect for an internal product, the egg is waterproof. The remote control unit is not however so don't get that wet.
The control unit is very easy to use. A sliding cover on the back hides the battery compartment whilst on the front you will find just two buttons. The bottom button turns the egg on and cycles through the 10 vibration patterns. The top button turns the egg off. Simple!
An antenna cord also loops out of the top of the control unit.
The egg is easy to pop into your vagina. It's just over an inch in thickness so it's not too difficult to slide it in. A bit of lubricant can help here.
The vibration settings are wide ranging from a slow a gentle tickle to a fierce vibration. Several patterns switch between fast and slow to introduce more of a random element to the pleasure.
An important test with a remote control toy has to be how far apart can the egg and control unit be before the signal is lost. The packaging claims up to 10 metres (32 feet) which is certainly a bold claim. We managed to get around 2 metres (6.5 feet) which is good although not as great as 10 metres. Lots of things affect wireless signals so the best way to get a strong wide signal is to stretch the antenna cords out as much as possible. A clear line of sight also helps. Finally, stuff like room conditions and battery strength can affect wireless signals so you may not see 10 metres all that much.
So if the range isn't all that great why go wireless? To answer that, just think of the possibilities of how the egg can be used:
The egg could be inserted and could be activated sporadically by your partner in public. No body would know it's there with the only give-away being the sly smile and giggle you release each time it's switched on!
You could take a shower whilst your partner could control the vibrations.
How about a bit of oral sex? You could have the control unit and could cycle through the programs whilst your partner wiggles their tongue over your clitoris and labia. You control the internal fun whilst they control the outer fun. It leaves yur partner's hands free to wander over your body rather than holding a vibrator.
Pop the egg in your vagina whilst your partner performs anal sex on you. Twice the pleasure, especially if you are in a doggy-style position as the egg will vibrate around your G-spot.
Give the controller to your partner to be pleasured at their will. The surprise of random vibrations together with the gorgeous feelings will have you in a state of excitement.
The control unit means you can choose your own pleasure if you wish. Find a pattern you love and let that excite you.
Don't just think of the egg as an internal toy. It is that first and foremost but it also resembles a bullet clit stim vibrator and can be used as such. The vibrations feel really good against my clitoris although I found myself having to hold it from it's antenna cord. A perk of holding it this way is that I could position it so it just brushed against my clit - sending me over the edge!
It's a versatile toy and can be used externally around the labia and clitoris whilst it can also be used internally. This makes it have a wide appeal and is great fun with a partner.
It's definitely worth buying, even just for the fun with a partner. Give them the control and "pop" the egg inside - you'll have a really great time. The unpredictability of a pattern and of their choices means you'll have lots of fun using this. I certainly did!
