Nexus Max 5 G Spot Massager Review

Nexus is a name synonymous with high quality male sex toys so I was surprised to learn they also offer a range of unisex sex toys, made to the same high standard. Nexus(care of pleasure2me) have sent over a Nexus Max 5, which despite the strap-line "G-Spot Massager" can be used as a vaginal G-spot sex toy and also as an anal toy for both men and women.

We agreed that I could try this one out as I could test both vaginal and anal play with it.

What They Have Said About It

Nexus Max 5 G-Spot Massager

This is what they had to say about the product:

Hold on for the ride of your life with the dual action Nexus Max 5! With a teasingly textured perineum massager and generously sized shaft, the Nexus Max 5 applies the perfect amount of vibrating pressure to all the right places. Easy to control thanks to the power bullet, pleasure is yours at the push of a button. The three different settings allow you to choose what type of orgasm you experience, from slow and soft to quick and hard, it's all there for the taking! Made from velvety soft medical grade brushed silicone, the Nexus Max 5 is sure to take your breath away.

The Packaging

Nexus Max 5 G-Spot Massager - Box Front

The Nexus Max 5 G-spot Massager comes in a very stylish clear plastic box, with a green fronted inner card and patterns adorning the box. The front of the packaging outlines some of the key functions of the toy:

The rear of the box is silver tone and explains how the Nexus Max 5 is a teasing massager with generous proportions.

Inside, the toy sits on a plastic casing with an instruction manual beneath that.

The Product Itself

The Nexus Max 5 is similar to other Nexus products we've reviewed, most like the Nexus G-Play Trio in shaft shape and style. At the base the vibrator curves around and is home to a vibrator. The instruction manual says it is removable but I can't get mine out suggesting otherwise.

The vibrator takes a LR1 (MN9100) 1.5V battery (aka an N battery) which isn't as common as an AA or AAA battery but is still easy enough to replace. The vibrator has 3 vibration settings.

The vibrator is coated in soft brushed medical grade silicone and comes in dark sexy black or a gorgeous shade of purple just like the one I have to test and review.

The Test

First impressions are that it feels so soft and gentle. The only rigid part is whether the vibrator is so the shaft is slightly bendable. 30 small firm nodules protrude from the vibrator housing which can stimulate the clitoris when the vibe is used vaginally or the perineum if used anally.

I started by lubricating the toy with a water based lube. Sliding it into my vagina, it could feel my lips expand and contract around the lumps along the shaft. I loved this feeling so much I slid it in and out a few times just to make sure it was in properly!

The vibrator works slightly differently to how you would normally expect a bullet vibe to work. Press and hold to turn it on - a red light appears when it is on. To switch to another vibration mode you need to press and hold the button. A quick press is how you turn it off again.

The packaging and instructions says it has three vibration modes but all I could find is a solid vibration pattern. I did however find five distinctive vibration speeds from a gentle tickle up to a powerful hum.

As you would expect the lower speeds are great for teasing and gentle build up whilst the faster speeds are terrific for fast paced and powerful orgasms.

The vibrations travel along the shaft and thanks to the angled tip specifically target the G-Spot. At lower speeds I didn't feel much but at higher speeds in combination with the clitoral stimulation, I was easily pushed over the edge time and time again.

Once I had exhausted myself, I cleaned up and gave it a try as an anal toy. Unfortunately I failed as it was just a bit too big for my liking measuring around 9cm insertable length and nearly 4cm across at the widest point. For me this was just a bit too much.

With a bit of practise though I imagine this would be a comfortable and thrilling sex toy. From the vaginal test I could definitely see how this would be a great toy for boys with the strong vibrations tickling the perineum (and scrotum/testicles) travelling along the toy to target the male P-spot.

Overall, a fantastic toy perfect for unisex use. It is great for vaginal use and with a bit of practise anal use too.

Summary

Who Is It For?

I will admit I was slightly confused by the way the packaging talks about a G-spot massager whilst the instruction manual explains how to use it anally.

Nevertheless, it clearly is evident that the toy can be used for both purposes. The shape of the toy is perfect for angular precision n my G-spot area, with the curves of the shaft feeling great as I slide it in and out of my vagina. The nodules on the clitoral part of the vibe are a nice feature and the vibrations feel amazing as I pressed these against my clit.

Whilst I might have failed somewhat in the anal test due to the size, it's definitely a great toy for a man (with the vibrations travelling around his scrotum on the outside and around the prostate on the inside) but is also a great anal toy for us girls too. With a bit more practise I reckon this would be manageable with the vibrations travelling around to my vaginal lips on the outside.

It's a unisex versatile sex toy that can be used however you want.

The Positives

The Negatives

Is It Worth Buying?

If you are looking for a luxurious G-spot vibe then this is great. It's ergonomic curves and powerful vibrations are a wonderful combination.

I found it a bit too big as an anal toy but for experienced users then size should not be a problem.
