Pole Dancing Kits
Pole dancing can be a great way to tone up, become healthier and above all feel sexier. Men love watching women pole dance and so by practising this sexy art form, you can driver your fella insane with pleasure, in the comfort of your own home!
There's a few kits available, all with their own unique selling points.
X-Pole Pole Dancing Kit
This is the most expensive on the market but that cost is spent on developing a sturdy, high quality product. It's the only dancing pole that Ann Summers stock which means you can be assured of a very high standard indeed.
The top and bottom flare out which means there is no need to screw this in: it is a true portable pole dancing kit. No ceiling fixings are required!
Two hidden screws let you adjust the pole so it can be static or it can swing around, letting you experiment with both types of motion.
The pole is 50mm chromed steel, which Ann Summers assures the professionals use, again confirming that this is a reliable and robust product.
The height is adjustable from 7' 4" to 9' to account for the fact that not every room in every house is the same height. This range of heights should cater for most homes however.
The X-Pole comes in kit form and simply screws together. Its extremely easy to put together. An instructional DVD is also supplied. Please be aware that this does weight 17kg so it's very heavy! Having said that, the weight means it'll be sturdy so if you are looking for a long lasting professional pole that can be used time and time again, this is it.

Peekaboo Pole Dancing Kit
Similar to the X-Pole, this is a removable, adjustable dancing pole. The X-Pole relies on adjustable cogs to raise and lower the height whereas the Peekaboo kit uses a spring to adjust the top section of the pole. It extends up to 8' 2" which is a little shorter than the X-Pole.
This kit comes with a Peekaboo garter so you can start sexy dancing for your partner who will be armed with one hundred Peekaboo banknotes for fun! An instructional booklet is also included.
The Peekaboo isn't as sturdy as the X-Pole and isn't as complex to set up or as heavy. It's probably not best to swing or hang from the Peekaboo. It's also fixed solid and doesn't rotate unlike the X-Pole.
That said, it is ideal as a first time pole for pole dancing amateurs to test the water to make sure pole dancing is for them. If you like it and want to experience more, upgrade to the X-Pole.

Professional Poledancing Kit
Termed by Magic Moments as the "cheap professional poledancing kit", this pole should be placed in-between the Peekaboo kit and the X-Pole kit.
It still not quite up to the heavy duty task that the X-Pole is. It can extend up to around 8' 5" and features the same spring loaded mechanism as the Peekaboo.
It comes with an instruction booklet, a "how to dance" DVD, a garter and some sexy banknotes for your adorning viewer to slide inside your garter.
There isn't much of a difference between this kit and the Peekaboo except for the DVD and slight height distance.

Professional Pole Dancing Kit
Love Honey also sell a "professional pole dancing kit".
It differs to the rest as it relies on being screwed into the floor and ceiling. The down side of this is that you need to find somewhere to affix it in your house. The plus side is that once it is firmly affixed, you can swing and hang from it to your heart's content.
It is height adjustable from 7' 5" to 8' 5", fitting most room heights.
The kit comes with an instruction booklet and DVD.
This is probably a better option than the Peekaboo if you can find somewhere to firmly affix it. If you want the ability to take down the pole but the ability to swing and hang off the pole, the X-Pole is more suitable for you.

My Sexy Little Pole & DVD
This is very similar to the professional pole-dancing kits.
Unfortunately there isn't much product information available at the The Toy Farm, making it difficult to compare with the other models.
My Sexy Little Pole is made out of stainless steel and can be installed and put away in minutes, suggesting that it does not require any mounts to be affixed to use it (although that cannot be guaranteed).
The kit comes with a DVD presented by Kate and Symone, professional pole dancing instructors. They offer a 4 week course covering the step-by-step routines required to get the full benefits of pole dancing out of the product.
It's difficult to ascertain whether this is a product to recommend so the advice would be to buy one of the other poles unless you wish to test this pole.

Recommendation
If you are after your first pole and are unsure whether it would get used that much, the Peekaboo kit or the Professional Poledancing Kit would be best for you.
If you want a pole that is bolted into the ceiling for reassurance of stability, the Professional Pole Dancing Kit from Love Honey is your thing.
If it's an all round pole that can be taken down and put up quickly with the stability and reliability of a pole bolted to the ground, the X-Pole is perfect for you.

I had a go (just for fun you know) and it was fun! It takes alot of practuise to make the moves look great but with a few beers its a laugh for me and the missus.
