The kind people at Love Honey have sent us another bundle of goodies to put through their paces. Today we're looking at a 125ml bottle of Sliquid Ride Silicone Lubricant.

Sliquid Ride is 100% vegan friendly, ultra-concentrated silicone, hypoallergenic and non-toxic, hypoallergenic and scent free, waterproof and non-toxic.
Ingredients: Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Dimethiconol
The lube comes in a firm plastic bottle. It has a cap where if you push on half of it, it flicks open revealing a small rectangular dispenser hole. The bottle can be squeezed to help push the lubricant out of the bottle but it will run out of this hole on it's own if you tip it upside down.
A foil seal can be found underneath the black screw cap. This is a safety seal used during shipping. If the seal is broken or missing upon arrival then the lube should not be used.
A golden coloured label is affixed around most of the bottle, containing a logo ("Ride Silicone Lubricant by Sliquid" and a black dragon image) as well as the ingredients, benefits and warnings.

I've always viewed lubricants in the same way as I view condoms and sex toy shops - you find a brand you like and stick with it. I've always used Bodywise Liquid Silk but as a water based lubricant, that obviously has drawbacks - for example, using it in the bath or shower is a no-no.
Having never used a silicone lubricant, I wasn't too sure what to expect. The consistency looks more or less like slightly thicker water so I expected the product to be runny, and in all fairness, not that long lasting.
To cut a long story short, I was wrong. The product feels almost similar to baby oil in texture and nature. It's a slippery substance that is long lasting and easy to use. Deceptively, you don't need all that much given that it resembles water in consistency. The formula is "super concentrated" which explains why only a small amount is required.
Underwater fun is certainly easier as the lube doesn't wash off until you apply soap and water. This means that if you use your hand to apply it, you'll have an oily hand until you wash it properly. This could have make sex a little more messy were it not for the fact that this lube doubles up as a massage lotion. It does stay wet for a long time so you'll only need a very small amount for massages.
It's fragrance-free (true fragrance-free unlike some other lubes that call themselves fragrance-free but actually do smell) so you can happily use this for a massage without ending up smelling like a walking, talking bottle of lube.
If you want water-based fun then this lube is for you. It's a long lasting multi-purpose lube ideal for sex, masturbation and massage. It's generally not compatible with silicone-based sex toys which prevents it from being an all-purpose, long lasting, waterproof, universal lubricant (of which we are not sure actually exists but sounds like something we'd buy).
If you prefer a lube that lasts a long time and feels like you're not wearing any, Sliquid Ride Silicone Lubricant is great for you. If you are after a waterproof lubricant for some underwater fun, Sliquid Ride Silicone Lubricant is also good for you. If you are after a lube that can double up as a massage oil, this is for you. If you are after a thicker lubricant that is easy to clean with just water, Sliquid Ride Silicone Lubricant isn't for you. If you don't like a lot of mess in the bedroom, opt for a water based lube unlike Sliquid Ride Silicone Lubricant.
Overall, ideal for some but not for all.
