We've not delved too deep into the world of bondage though the idea of being tied up and pleasured has been arousing. We've tried the Japanese Silk Bondage Rope and found that quite difficult to tie properly and restrain successfully. After a bit of research I stumbled across the Sportsheets Under the Bed Restraint System from LoveHoney, a beginners bondage kit, which looked very promising and had many positive reviews. It's a way to tie your partner to the bed without the need for bedposts or a headboard (both of which we lack). We purchased the kit (way back around Valentine's Day) and thought it would be worthwhile sharing our experiences. Here's how we got on.

The packaging is very simple. The kit comes in a clear plastic box which has a cardboard sleeve in it. On the front of the cardboard sleeve it shows a woman using the restraints and also lists the contents as being:
Underneath the Under the Bed Restraint System logo features the line "turn any bed into a bondage playground".
The rear of the sleeve shows two diagrams of the two ways you can set the kit up. The first diagram shows the straps coming from the top and bottom of the bed whilst the second picture shows them coming from the top and bottom sides of the mattress.
The kit itself feels very well made. The straps feel well made and firm. A connector strap stretches along the middle of the bed from top to bottom. To each end, two restraint straps are affixed and to each of these a cuff is affixed. The cuffs are attached by decent sized metal keyring type clips which admittedly do look a little flimsy. The benefit of these is that you can quickly release each cuff if needs be.
Each cuff has been covered with a fleece type material and uses Velcro to wrap around your ankles and wrists.
Once out of the box, we lay the straps on top of the bed. Doing this we could adjust the length quickly and easily. We tested this out on a standard double bed but could see a king and even super king mattress being no problem for this kit.
Once we had adjusted the length, we slid the strip under the mattress across the the middle. We positioned the restraint straps to emerge from the top and bottom of the mattress. My gorgeous assistant then lay on the bed with arms and legs stretched out to each corner of the bed. As I wrapped each cuff around her wrist and ankle (each adjustable by a Velcro strap) and then clipped these to the main straps she commented on how kinky she felt. With that in mind I slid onto her a blindfold to heighten her arousal. Bound and blindfolded, she knew I was there but not what I was doing, which was a very big turn on.
The final step was to pull each strap tight thus keeping her in position. She wriggled a bit to find out how good the kit was and she couldn't move enough to stop me from having my wicked way with her which was a great start!
Now came the hard bit as I wasn't sure what we could do. Sex was possible but quite tricky if she couldn't raise her legs. That left oral sex which was a terrible shame! I lapped away at her clitoris and she started to wriggle, bound by the restraint system. As she got closer to orgasm she managed to move her legs about which we hadn't expected. A quick pause and I moved the bottom straps so they emerged from the side of the bed rather than the base. This was perfect as she couldn't move her legs as freely as I drove her over the edge and threw her into a dizzying orgasm. After orgasming she was highly sensitive and would normally stop me but thanks to the restraints she was powerless as I teased her and very gently licked around her clitoris and labia.
Putting the kit away is easy too. Each of the four straps and cuffs just tuck under the mattress. Out of sight, out of mind - until next time!
We both really liked this kit. The straps and cuffs are sturdy enough to withstand some natural reactions and are soft and comfortable at the same time. A happy medium.
This is a must for beginners into bondage. This kit is a great place to start as it will fit any sized bed and does not require a headboard or bed posts to use, unlike some other kits. It's not designed for bondage pro's who I feel would not benefit from this but for the vast majority of newbies and even intermediate bondage lovers, this complete kit is a great investment.
I'm really pleased we bought this and can imagine both of us will get a good bit of use out of it. It's a fantastic, easy and self-encompassing way to enter the world of bondage without heavy duty restraints which are difficult to store. This simple system is quick to set up and easy to pack away (simply slide back under the mattress).
